There is a whole lot of architectural love going on at the moment!

Monday October 7 marks ‘World Architecture Day’ and the start of ‘Architecture Week Queensland’.

There are a myriad of events to see and take part in over the week, you can learn all about them at the at the Australian Institute of Architects website. I’m really interested in the “Not for sale” night where selected Architect’s are opening their homes and discussing their design.

At the end of all these events is the Brisbane Open House weekend which I wrote about here. If you haven’t already applied for the ballots to visit some of the properties, make sure you do! It is bound to be a fabulous weekend of sticky-beaking!

There is also Toowoomba Open House and Maryborough Open House on at different dates in October. It may be a great excuse to escape the city and check out some regional architecture.
