I am feeling very grateful and humbled to be at the end of my first year with this blog.
I’m not ashamed to say, this year was about being a little selfish and finding myself again after what felt like quite a few blurry years of travel and living overseas, moving home to Brisbane, studying, working, buying a house, having a baby and making a home, with countless days in between spent renovating.
I’ve worked part-time this year and spent my spare days being a Mum and enjoying the home we made.
In no particular order…., I’ve spent time on me, teaching myself how to use my camera, doing some classes in photography and vignettes at The School, spent many a late night tenaciously trying to work out WordPress, widgets and plugins. My bathroom renovation was a finalist in a national design competition. I’ve taken time to learn about blogging, had two amazing holidays to Hong Kong and Trinity Beach, think we’ve finished renovating our home and the blog has been archived with the State Library of Queensland!
I’ve found my groove again!
And I have you to thank for it…
Twelve of you, in particular, who let a perfect stranger into their homes, armed with a camera. I’m so grateful.
Never did I think I would be invited into so many beautiful homes, to document their delightfulness and share it with an ever-growing population of readers.
So here is a glimpse at 2013 with Walk among the homes…
An amazing array, if I say so myself, of some gorgeous Brisbane homes.
I’ve covered all styles of home, from the late 1800’s to 2012, with each one being as unique as the next.
So, thank you for popping in, reading, looking at the photos, thanks for those who have taken the time to leave a comment and shared the blog with your friends. I’ve met quite a few of you now and together, we’re creating a great community.
The biggest thanks is for the wonderful home owners who let me into their lives and allowed me to share them with the world.
Wishing you all, an amazing 2014.
